  (4) Melchizedek Melchizedek appears in Genesis 14:18-20. "Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High. He blessed Abram and said, 'Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth. And blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand.'"   God wants to give believers 100% heavenly life   God wants to give believers 100% heavenly life, but believers are rejecting it. God wants to give believers a life of perfect holiness. To those who believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross, God gives them the life of resurrection with Christ. However, those who do not believe in the present resurrection life are rejecting it. According to the doctrine of justification by faith, believers are saved once they believe in Jesus, and then they must achieve sanctification. So they work hard to achieve sanctification. They must restore the image of God, or live a life that resembles Christ, or pursue righteousness, or strive to live a holy life, or examine whether they sin or not every day and try to keep the commandments, or try to live a life like light, etc. God gives the grace of resurrection life to those who died with Jesus on the cross.
